IMO it's ALWAYS better to implement mechanics that cause players to be motivated in ways that mimic real life, than to 'deus ex machina' an effect into the game by fiat.<div><br></div><div><div><br><div class="gmail_quote">

(Makes some notes). This is going into my house rule hopper. :) This makes a charging horse plenty deadly without contriving a fear effect. The fear comes from the players understanding the magnitude of hurt they can potentially take. <div>
