I agree with Simon's listing, too. BRP is hard to place in the list because it can do so many other things. Personally, as an RQ emulator, I'd put it below RQ2 - but as a Stormbringer or CoC emulator, it far surpasses them.

Also, the those who are interested, there's a fan project afoot to use the MRQ1 SRD to produce an RQ2 clone to make it easier for people to play the Moon Design RQ Classics. It can be found here: http://gringlespawnshop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=glyph and it's currently called GlyphMaster.

Chris

Date: Wed, 3 Nov 2010 16:28:42 -0700
From: vikingjarl@gmail.com
To: runequest@rpgreview.net
Subject: Re: [Runequest] Runequest II

@Simon: I have avoided Mongoose products after their rather shabby
treatment of Steve Perrin & us Old Grognards of Runequest. So I
can't really comment on any of the MRQ versions (I only saw the
first playtest version before they shafted the original Mopgoose
playtesters). Other than that I totally agree with you on your list
other than perhaps fitting RQ1 & RQ0 (the playtest version - I
evidently own the last extant copy & still in the original brown
binder) just beneath RQ2. Out of curiosity, how would you fit BRP
into that list?
