[Runequest] Shields (was: Shameful question)

Westerners who wanted to carry a shield fairly quickly developed the 
buckler, which gave rise to the term Swashbuckler. But even the buckler 
is a pain to carry around unless you really expect to start fighting 
with every step. Keeping a sword under control in social situations is 
problem enough.
