Well, in which case the traps should reflect the makers.
Those near treasure will be very clever and elaborate clockwork
mechanisms, with acid etc.
Those near the mines will be more incidental, forgotten shafts that are
very, very deep.
By the sounds of it all will be quite deadly. If your players don't
baulk at a high kill-rate then you can have a great deal of malicious
fun.. Otherwise keep them few and far between..
