[Runequest] Underwater magic

[Hola Hallo]

Hi there,

The other day my players found themselves fighting mudsharks underwater and
wanted to cast spirit magic or divine magic. Can they? I guess you have to
speak or mutter some words to cast a spell, so is underwater magic possible
for air-breathers? And what about air-breathers with "Breath Air/Water"
spells on them?

Also, how do you run underwater combats?
There are varying rules in Borderlands, RQ3, RQ4, Basic Roleplaying and
MRQ!  :-S
