[Runequest] How many spirits can you fit in one body?

The sensible answer is that you can only have one dominant spirit at a time.
The new posessor has to kick the old one out, the old posessor may be able
to hide as a passive posessing spirit if it has the ability to do so, and I
don't think the librarian would have this ability.

Also I tend to agree with the other opinions that a posessive spirit takes
the character out of the game until it can be exorcised. The spirit does
what it wants, not the player, unless you trust the player enough that they
would play the spirit authentically, and why would a Sun Dome librarian want
to be an adventurer? Why would the rest of the party want to adventure
alongside this ancient spirit controlling their friend?

I'm not saying that this couldn't be done, but cult membership does pose a
real problem. The dominant spirit could not play along and take the body to
a Storm Bull ceremony and pass itself off as a Bully Boy, unless maybe it
used some trick to allow the original spirit to control the body for a
limited duration without it realising what was really going on. Would anyone
at the ceremony notice that the Storm Bull initiate had been Befuddled?
Maybe not, if it's a boisterous drunken ceremony!
