Yes, the librarian was a Yelmalio worhsipper.. And with poor weapon
skills. And didn't have much of a choice about going to the Rubble (cf.,
Welcome to the City scenario for Pavis).
Balastor on the other hand..
The party typically has a least one "librarian" type character. They're
excellent at mapping, reading ancient tomes in strange languages, speaking
to weird races, world lore issues etc.

Balastor is pretty much alone in Pavis. The party that "found him" seem
friendly enough. He's going to assert his claims at Pavis temple and
they'll probably be glad to see the back of him when he wants to
re-establish old Pavis..
Doesn't really resolve the nesting problem of the dominant spirits tho'...
