   Sven, may I impose on you by putting you on the spot directly?
   If not, then please feel free to ignore this posting, and in that case
my apologies.
   The reason for my posting:  If I read your posting correctly, I believe
you said that Roman segmented armor was comparable to plate in
defensive value.  This caught me by surprise.  Would you mind
elaborating on that?
