[Runequest] Basic RolePlaying, The Chaosium System

I suspect I should probably ask the list if anyone is going to object to
discussions of BRP/D100 here.

One thing I just ran into is that BRP has discarded the MP (or rather PP,
but it's the same thing) regeneration rate of 1/24th of POW per hour (i.e.
full regeneration in one day). Instead, it uses a flat regeneration rate up
to POW 25 or so, with higher speeds of regeneration in fairly chunky
increments.

MP regeneration doubles during sleep or absolute rest. I have to admit that
that seems a little odd to me; why should the state of the body make a
difference to the soul? If the argument is that sleep and/or rest create a
state of tranquility that allows faster spiritual regeneration, perhaps some
meditation techniques might have the same effect?

Actually, that's an interesting idea for a Hero ability; faster MP
regeneration.
