I'm been remiss in not sending this ealier - but anyway

Use Holy Word (Cl 7) against the Blue's polymorphed allies? (need Silence to protect some of our allies?), though the 40' radius means we need to be in close combat?
I guess our allies need us in combat with the Blue, so ...

The panopticon design means that Antimagic shell, which defends against Breath Weapons (Check!) can be a good defense - but it puts me out of action for spell casting.
Load up on Prot Energy and Resist Energy and leave in reserve.
