Sorry guys, I will be out of Melbourne this Wednesday.
My PnP thoughts (mostly stuff I've said before but written down).
The central joke is 'fantasy people pretending to be modern day people',
finding ways to reference this is the key to creating something different
to other contemporary setting RPGS.
One challenge is finding ways to get this flavour into the game mechanics /
writing style of the book.
Are there ways we can reference the DnD magic system to deliver technology
tasks. (e.g. specifying Material, somantic, gestures components "Fix
photocopier")
How can we milk the Clerical (priestly) = Clerical (relating to clerks)
pun?
We used the Myers Briggs as an alignment system, are there a game mechanic
(eg like the one used in pendragon) to make a player's Myer's Briggs score
relevant in game play.
An introductory adventure recasting "Keep on the Borderlands" as "Who do
we keep at Borderlands?", the efficiency experts come to "Borderlands Pty",
play the efficiency team or the corporate drones. Plenty of opportunities
to referencing some the problems at TSR for in-jokes.
