In the last session the cultists came after you, but you managed to fend them off. You also managed to send your rescued medium and archeologist off on a boat to the Home Country, but not before organising a seance with the dear. And what a session it was! You contacted Jackson Elias who gave disturbing information about his death - he said that he had learned great things about the Cult of the Bloody Tongue and that they were planning on making him a god, and then you lot came along an interrupted it! Chemist, born 1903, worked for the German government during WWII and then apparently on LSD and mind-control for the US government afterwards (at least according to less credible sources), along with various poisons which held some interest. Also worth mentioning that at this day and age Wagner-Jauregg weren't full blown Nazis, but did support eugenics and of course race theory (as most people did back then). Message-ID: <5d616ad7ea9230013480519d1aa97012.squirrel@webmail.rpgreview.net> Another session of Masks of Nyarlathotep graces our consciousness tomorrow night at the asylum, starting at the usual time. In the last session, a message was sent with the finger of Ma'muhd from the kidnappers of Father Valjean de la Croix (and Ma'muhd as well, presumably). Meet at the Bent Pyramid they said. Of course they were telling the truth. The investigators went to the Bent Pyramid and discover a secret chamber, which matched the mad ramblings in "Life As A God". With glowing maps of the world matching Australia, East Africa, and China and star maps on the other, an obsidian thrown was at the end of the chamber. Ever with good humour, and once known for an episode of self-centered madness, Lorenzo Berce, once sommelier from Orient Express, decided it would be hilarious to have a photograph taken of him sitting on throne with the two sceptres. The lighting poor, the photographs alas will not be great. Lorenzo's body however stiffened on the throne, and his voice was no longer his own - it was that of the Black Pharaoh, who spoke about the end times and how his rule would come again. The party attacked the Pharoah, only to have great flying serpents - hunting horrors - appear before them. The Pharaoh showed the slaughter of the Carlyle Expedition, and what was coming as the heavens opened for the Elder Gods. Lorenzo's body went limp and unconscious. The investigators rushed him to back to the hotel. But when he awoke he wandered outside before any could stop him. The party, now with perhaps two of their members kidnapped, decided it was time to leave and head down the Nile to Kenya, to find the elusive Mountain of the Black Wind and the truth of the Carlyle Expedition. Somewhere, deep in the back streets of Old Town in Cairo, a former sommelier attempts to regain his sanity, his mind shattered after being possessed by the great god Nyarlathotep himself. The sommelier does what he can to keep his mind together and bring order to the insane world. He cares, obsessively, for homeless kittens, and will do so until the end of his days. Fortunately there is a temple of Bast which provides some comfort. If only he knew that a mere fifty miles away at the mansion of Omar Shakti, a certain French Catholic priest will also suffer a lifetime of maddening abuse at the hands of the most powerful sorcerer in all of Egypt... -- Lev Lafayette, BA (Hons), GradCertTerAdEd (Murdoch), GradCertPM, MBA (Tech Mngmnt) (Chifley) mobile: 0432 255 208 RFC 1855 Netiquette Guidelines http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1855.txt http://www.quicksales.com.au/shop/RPG-Review.aspx From everyonelse58 at hotmail.com Wed Jul 30 11:46:25 2014 From: everyonelse58 at hotmail.com (Martin Tegelj) Date: Wed, 30 Jul 2014 21:46:25 +1000 Subject: [Nyarlathotep] To Kenya!
