Just to let others know, I need some weekends back and so I've chosen to 'leave' the church of gaming groups (by leave I mean - I'm not coming unless I say I am, rather than I'm coming unless I say I'm not) I've GM'ed and know it can be a hassle with people not turning up, so if you think I'm not coming, then if I do, I can take a spare character or head back home! :) But I wanted to be upfront about it as I know it can be a big gaming issue when people cancel last minute, or just don't turn up. ? This is due to visa issues (no idea how long we have left) and sunny weekends (combining with not knowing how long we have left - we want to head off and explore more!) ? I'd like to say a big thankyou to you all, you've been a fantastic group to play with: ? I'll always remember Bunnys and Burroughs as my partners only chance to meet the group... Thanks for that Lev, a memory to last my lifetime! And I'm thinking I may have to try and start that tradition in the UK! :) (Maybe 'burrows' though) And wish I was here next easter (if the visa comes through, I'm in!) ? Karl ran a great game of Diaspora - even though we barely played our characters, I really liked the fact we decided a lot of the rest of the world, our characters were skilled insects compared to the giant plans we never understood! :) And trying to teach more of that science stuff. We are thinking of going away on saturday next weekend, so if Diaspora is one, I'd like to try and make it to say goodbye to everyone. ? Redmonds Dark Heresy with a confusing twist of event, the fact no one is allowed to talk to us and we fail on the most important rolls all the time, and his dislike of Mir (I recommend barbarians in space for stress relief) meant it was always an interesting struggle against the system to ask just the right question, if need be five different ways until the dice gods (Bless the Emperor) were finally kind to us. No one's been critted yet, I hope to hear of a heroic yet brutal end ot Mir when I'm gone... :D ? I'm also happy to keep spreading the good word of the group if people are still after players - I know we had a new person join this weekend (new blood and perfectly timed to take my place!) And I have others interested and would easily recommend the group. ? So I do intend to come along still when I can, but think of me as an added extra, rather than a core player now. But thanks to all I've played with to date! I made it a year (looks like it was in Sep I joined) - not bad for a 1 year visa! :) ? And of course, if anyone ever in Blighty, get in contact! :) But not for a while, I'll be travelling! (or still here) :) ? It has been absolutely great having you along. You've contributed a great deal to the games, showed a deep understanding of various rules systems, and your characters certainly had more than a little bit of personality to them. > I'll always remember Bunnys and Burroughs as my partners only chance to > meet the group...
