The Father Bob MacGuire Foundation is named after the well-known
anti-establishment Catholic priest, well-loved for his community work and
his earthy humour.

The Father Bob Maguire Foundation began in 2003 bringing together several
groups under one Board. Open Family Australia began almost thirty years
ago to address the immediate needs of homeless youth in Melbourne, and is
now operating in several population centres. The Emerald Hill Mission was
initiated over twenty years ago to assist public housing tenants in South
and Port Melbourne with meals and school cost relief. Almost ten years
ago, Beyond Care was established to provide urgent community support for
adults who had been part of Open Family Australia. The Father Bob Maguire
Foundation Scholarship provides funding for children with high
aspirations, but socio-economic handicaps.

But the Foundation doesn't run on love and good will alone. It needs
financial support, and to help provide this, you're invited to a
fundraising concert.

Bob himself will be in attendance, which will be held at the Unitarian
Church Hall on July 1st at 11am.
