Hi all,

It has come to my attention that there will be a pause in our
exploration of the Planescape multiverse. I don't think I have time to
prep the next Diaspora so what about a one off?
Recently, we had a poll and "Temple of the Beastmen" won and we played
that. Battletech was a close second. Rather than running another vote
would people like drive some big stompy robots about? Would someone else
like to run something?

Battletech Quick Start Rules: 
A series of short war-games to teach the latest version of this classic
game of the future of war. Starting with giant 'Mechs and building up to
combined forces battles with 'Mechs, aircraft, tanks, infantry etc. I
have never played this game but I know others have and we will be using
the simplified quick start rules designed to teach the game.

Another option would be to continue with Diaspora. If I extract the

The world consists of two groups of people. Those who like Battletech and
those who haven't played it.

I have two sets I can bring along. I recommend we go for 150 tonnes of
classic, unmodified mechs (because that's easiest to use the photocopied
sheets for) and Batteltech compendium rules (because that includes all the
clarifications).

Hi all,
(Diaspora/one off)

With preparing a review article for RPG Review and lots of science stuff
to do I have been snowed under the last couple of weeks. I'm afraid I'm
going to have to delay the next Diaspora session. Diaspora next week
intstead?
Anyway, as a replacement how is BattleTech again? (with less maps and
mechs to speed play. I'd like to try a couple of platoons of infantry
this time.
Also, what about BV rather than tonnage? Its more balanced and the
master unit list giving BV values is free online.
